This series consists of the Record of occurrences from the Air Wing - Aviation Support Branch.Record of occurrences are diaries providing a detailed record of all occurrences coming to the attention of the Air Wing - Aviation Support Branch. Information recorded includes: date, time and location of occurrences the Air Wing - Aviation Support Branch were required to attend; report of the occurrence; which aircraft attended and police in charge; and action taken. The Record of occurrences also includes reports of pre-flight checks of aircraft; regular inspections of aircraft, plant, equipment, premises, records and money; police officers on leave; injury to staff whilst on duty; damage, mechanical faults and repairs to aircraft, premises and safety equipment; and other information relating to the operation of the Air Wing - Aviation Support Branch. The entries are chronological and have a monthly single numbering system.From 1994 the Record of occurrences were superseded by COPS (Computerised Operational Policing System).
