In this experiment, a high-power fiber laser was used to weld GH3539 nickel-base superalloy. The effect of laser welding parameters on welded joint geometry was studied, and the microstructure and mechanical properties of the welded joint were also studied. The hot crackings produced by laser welding are briefly summarized.
