For comparison this table includes the relative proportions of neuron physiological types as reported by Nowak et al (2003) [42] in the cat using sharp microelectrodes in vivo. There is no significant difference between the relative proportions of neuron types in the present study and that reported by Nowak et al (2003) [42] (p>0.5).
