Sources

The basement contains information on a total of more than 2000 sources (i.e. natural groundwater outflows), preferably along the larger eskers in Sweden. The product contains information about the location, flow, aquifer type and to some extent water quality, etc. Sources can be of great importance for specific biotopes and in many cases have a great cultural and historical significance. The information can be used, among other things, to select sampling points for chemical characterisation of groundwater or for environmental monitoring.
