Weather Conditions Affects on Bird Sightings

Hypothesis: Weather conditions and location will have no affect on bird sightings.Predictions:(1) Weather conditions will have no affect on number of individuals spotted.(2) Weather conditions will have no affect on the number of species spotted.(3) number of sightings will stay consistent between the grassland and woodland regions.Methods:First a 15m transect was laid out randomly. Then to collect the data the transect was walked and the number of birds and the species seen within 10m of either side was was written down on a notebook along with the approximate distance from the transect and the Beaufort scale number. This was done 5 times in the grassland and five times in the woodland for a total of 10 times.Variables:Individuals were determined by counting the number of birds seen.Species were defined using the morphological species concept, "if it looks different it is different."Distance was gathered by approximation.Beaufort scale number was measured using approximation and a provided chart.
