Municipal Top Civil Servants, 1992

At the turn of the year 1991-92 a project was initiated by the five associations of municipal top civil servants (i.e. the associations for chief administrative officers, chief budgeting officers, chief social service officers, chief technical officers, and chief education officers). The purpose was to consider and discuss future forms of co-operation. # As part of the project a questionnaire survey was carried out comprising all active members of the five associations. The purpose of this part of the project is to map out the activities of the members in the associations and their wishes as regards the future work of the associations, nationally as well as locally (in the separate districts). These aspects will be seen in the light of the large number of new organization forms in the municipalities as well as new demands concerning the managerial role of municipal top civil servants
