In this Journal of Economic Perspectives article, we use the idea of identity, and specifically economics identity formation, as a lens to explore how ideas from inclusive STEM education can be incorporated into the teaching of economics to make instruction more effective for all students. These files use IPEDS data to create graphs showing trends in degree attainment in economics as compared to other fields for women, racial minorities, and women who are racial minorities.
