This dataset is a spatially distributed dataset of forest vegetation types with classified boundary delineation derived from remote sensing imagery, covering Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2013 to 2017. It originates from the China Forest Vegetation Survey Project of the Research Institute of Forest Resources Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry. The project was compiled using a range of materials including partial historical vegetation maps, forest distribution maps, 2012 TM data, 1990s TM data and field sample plot survey data, and was strictly processed in compliance with the relevant regulations stipulated in the *Specification for Forest Vegetation Classification, Survey and Mapping* (2019). The dataset is in vector format, containing attribute fields such as forest order subgroup, forest order, forest series group and other related items. The dataset has a scale of 1:100,000. This dataset offers data support and services for forest resource inventory, planning and design and other relevant work.
