Data on epiphytic lichen species composition recorded on bark of 147 trees representing five tree host species composing the early successional stages of oak-hornbeam forest, located on the Białowieża Clearing in the surrounding of the Strict Reserve of the Białowieża National Park.

File “epiphytes_comp.csv” contains data on species composition of epiphytic lichens inhabiting five tree host species: <i>Carpinus betulus </i>(rows 2-31), <i>Tilia cordata </i>(rows 32-62), <i>Populus tremula </i>(rows 62-90), <i>Quercus robur </i>(rows 91-118), and <i>Prunus cerasifera </i>(rows 119-148). In columns E-CQ are names of epiphytic lichen species recorded on bark of each tree individual (each cell below columns E-CQ contain data on the species abundance: zero stands for lack of lichen species, one for low abundance (to 3 occurrences), two for intermediate (4-10 occurrences), and three for the highest (over 11 occurrences).
