Catalepsy is a natural condition that is characterized by a prolonged freezing reaction and inability to correct an externally imposed awkward posture, it represents a passive defensive behavior and is found in most of vertebrates.Here, we performed whole genome sequencing of catalepsy-resistant (AKR/J) and catalepsy-prone mice strains (CBA, AKR.CBA-D13Mit76, and ASC) in order to find putative candidate genes or chromosome loci related to mechanisms of hereditary catalepsy in mice.
