Data Supporting the PSM Method: Monthly LFMC and DFMC Estimates for California, 2024

This dataset contains monthly estimates of canopy live fuel moisture content (LFMC) and surface dead fuel moisture content (DFMC) for California in 2024. The estimates were derived using the PSM method, a novel approach introduced in the paper "A Fusion of Physical and Machine Learning Models for Concurrent Estimation of Canopy Live and Surface Dead Fuel Moisture Content". The PSM method combines physical models with machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy and reliability of fuel moisture content estimation. The data are provided in GeoTIFF format, with a spatial resolution of 500 meters.
