A curated geotechnical database from over 220,000 boring logs including VS, SPT-N, stratigraphy, and geologic and topographic attributes for South Korea

KoreaGeoTechDB is a curated geotechnical database compiled from 295,851 boring logs collected across South Korea. The dataset consolidates geotechnical and geophysical investigation results together with geological and topographic attributes for site characterization studies. The database contains information such as: • Soil layer stratigraphy • Standard Penetration Test (SPT) blow counts (N) • Shear wave velocity (VS) profiles • Bedrock depth • Averaged soil parameters (e.g., VSsoil, Nd) • Geological attributes • Topographic parameters derived from DEM • Distance measures from geomorphic features (mountain, river, lake, sea) After applying quality-control (QC) procedures to remove erroneous or incomplete records, 224,965 boring logs were validated and included in the curated dataset.
