The Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC) Database is a comprehensive resource that compiles and analyzes data on acute food insecurity and malnutrition worldwide. It is part of the broader GRFC initiative, which is an annual report produced through a collaborative effort among 16 partners, coordinated by the Food Security Information Network (FSIN) in support of the Global Network Against Food Crises (GNAFC). The database consolidates data from multiple sources using rigorous methodologies to ensure accuracy and reliability. It highlights underlying and immediate causes of food insecurity, such as conflict, climate change, and economic shocks.
