This series of rate books from Culcairn Shire Council records the subsequent payment of rates by property owners. Each year each local council was required to set the level of, and collect rates for all rateable properties within the municipal or shire district.These rate books consist of the following information: the name and address of both the owner and occupier, situation, areas or dimensions of land, rates due and rates paid, including any arrears.
