Based on genomic exome assemblies in the sugarcane cultivars LCP85-386 and SP80-3280 low copy number genes were chosen as potential references for qRT-PCR. Primers were designed from these assemblies and were validated experimentally.For each validated target the transcript sequences were amplified and sequenced in the sugarcane cultivars N22 and SP80-3280.
