The complete mitochondrial genome of Metapenaeopsis barbata

The goal of this project is to generate full mitochondrial genomes from across the Metapenaeopsis barbata. Through these generated mitogenomes the project aims to better understand intraspecific genetic diversity within Metapenaeopsis barbata, especially interesting from a conservation perspective. We also will analyse a large dataset of samples from across the Metapenaeopsis barbata species complex range, to better understand (proposed) taxonomy, biogeography among others
