GAME-BASED LEARNING IN MUSIC LISTENING LESSONS IN SPECIALIZED MUSIC SCHOOLS AS A MEANS OF DEVELOPING STUDENTS' MUSICAL PERCEPTION

This article examines the problem of developing students’ musical perception in specialized secondary music schools through game-based learning in music listening lessons. The essence of musical perception is раскрыта as a complex psychological and pedagogical process based on the works of Boris Asafyev, Dmitry Kabalevsky, and Lev Vygotsky. Special attention is given to the importance of игровая activity as an effective method of activating students’ cognitive and emotional engagement. The paper presents examples of game-based methods used in specialized music schools of the Republic of Uzbekistan, analyzes their pedagogical potential and limitations, and substantiates the need to integrate traditional teaching methods with modern educational technologies. It concludes that game-based learning contributes to deeper and more conscious music perception, fosters sustained interest in music, and develops students’ creative potential.
