Reptilian genomic sequencing

Chromosomes of mammals and reptiles including birds harbor a great divergence in their genomic sequence and three-dimensional (3D) nuclear architecture since their amniote ancestor over 300 million years ago. To explore the underlying mechanisms of such divergence, as well as the interplays between chromosome rearrangements and 3D organization, we sequenced the genomic, epigenetic and 3D chromain sequencing data of several reptilian species, including emu, Siamese crocodile and Chinese softshell turtle.
