microbial diversity of Chinese yam bulk and rhizosphere soil

Chinese yam is an important economic crop that is known to decrease in quality in response to continuous cropping. However, the difference of rhizosphere soil microbe and metabolites in the cultivation of Chinese yam that may lead to these decreases has not been revealed. Here, high-throughput sequencing and nontargeted metabolomics were used to evaluate the response of rhizosphere soil microbe community structure and metabolic function to short-term consecutive monoculture of Chinese yam.
