资源简介:

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common early life pathogen, infecting 95 percent of children by age two, and RSV bronchiolitis is the leading cause of hospitalizations in infants greater than one year of age. Ongoing respiratory symptoms are common following severe RSV bronchiolitis. In order to evaluate the link between severe RSV infection and subsequent asthma development, we enrolled 206 infants hospitalized with their first episode of RSV bronchiolitis into the RSV Bronchiolitis in Early Life (RBEL) cohort study and followed them prospectively through six years of age. This study contains upper respiratory microbiome sequence derived from samples obtained from RBEL cohort participants.
