Phylogenomic insights into the evolutionary history of the Amazonian Creole pig using nuclear genome data and maximum-likelihood analyses

The objective of this study was to investigate the nuclear phylogenomic relationshipsof Peruvian Creole pigs from the Amazonas region through whole-genome sequencingand a high-density SNP matrix, in order to evaluate their evolutionary position withinSus scrofa and contribute to the characterization and conservation of local porcinegenetic resources.
