Road Surface Temperature on motorways, primary roads and urban roads
收藏资源简介:
The data covers road surface temperatures collected along motorways, primary and urban roads in summer 2024. Surface temperature was measured using a Raytek CM sensor mounted on a van. Trajectories of the van were collected using an Applanix POS LV220 positioning system. The road surface temperatures were collected in the right wheel path with a driving speed of 60 km/h on motorways/primary roads and as traffic allowed on urban roads. The road surface temperatures were averaged over 10 m sections on motorways and primary roads and over 5 m in urban environmemt. All data points contain x,y,z coordinates, heading, date and time and road surface temperature. The data was collected in the project "HeatMon - Towards a monitoring service enabling climate change adaption measures" and was used as ground truth vor valiadation of surface temperature predictions using remote sensing data sources including ISS/ECOSTRESS. An overview of the project can be found at https://projekte.ffg.at/projekt/4711883 The IBK dataset covers the daily temperature variation of urban roads on a hot summer day in 2024 and can be used for modelling of diurnal (surface) temperature variations in urban areas.
