This series contains monthly reports from the Matron of Hampton Hospital (VA 1237). The reports were prepared monthly and signed by the Matron of the hospital. Note that there were some months in which the Matron did not prepare a report. The appointment of a Matron was confirmed at the inaugural meeting of the Hampton Hospital held on 10 March 1959. The Matron reported verbally at meetings of the Board of Management commencing from 26th May 1959. Matters reported on in the Matron’s Report Book include, among others, the following: patient numbers, staff appointments and departures, social functions and entertainment, accidents and incidents, and visits to the Hospital.
