1. Foll. 1-27. MÎR ṢADR AL-DÎN Muḥammad Ḥusainî Shîrâzî’s (d. A.H. 903) treatise on the Divine Nature, رسالة فی اثبات البارئ تعالی و صفاته الحسنی. See Ḥ. Kh. iii. 362.

The name of the author is given in the preface as follows: (r. الشیرازی) الشهیر بصدر الحسینی الشیران..

The following is a list of the twelve sections (فصل) of the work: I. (fol. 2) فی اثباته تعالی; II. (fol. 4) فی توحیده و تنزیهه; III. فی ان واجب الوجود لا یقبل القسمة الی الاجزاء اصلا; IV. (fol. 9) فی ان واجب الوجود هل یجوز ان یکون له صفة زائدةعلیه ام لا; V. (fol. 10v.) فی علمه تع; VI. (fol. 16v.) فی قدرته تع; VII. (fol. 18v.) فی ارادته تع; VIII. (fol. 20v.) فی حیوته تع; IX. (fol. 21v.) فی سمعه و بصره; X. (fol. 22) فی کلامه تع; XI. (fol. 26) فی القضاء و القدر; XII. (fol. 27) فی سائر صفاته تع. It concludes (fol. 27v.) with خامة فی تقسیم صفاته تع.

2. Foll. 28-56. Another treatise on the same subject, which appears to be الرسالة الجدیدة by JALÂL AL-DÎN DAWWÂNÎ (d. A.H. 907 or 908). Cf. Ḥ. Kh. iii. 361, whose statement is however, inaccurate.

This MS. begins: الاستغناء فی التسمیة و له الحمد علی کرمه العمیم و منّه القدیم.

No title or name occurs in the preface. The MS. is imperfect at the end. The following is a list of the fourteen sections (فصل) which occur here: I. (fol. 28) فی اثبات واجب الوجود لذاته. This section begins with the words quoted by Ḥ. Kh. (I. 6) as referring to the work in general. They run here somewhat differently, thus:

قد افردت فی عنفوان شبابی رسالة فی هذا المطلب و اوردت فیها وجوه البراهین المنقولة عن ائمة الحکمة و الکلام مع ما سنح لی من النقض و الابرام و الهدم و الاحکام و اقتصر ههنا علی ما هو اوضح و اظهر و اتقن و اخصر فاقول الخ.

II. (fol. 31v.) فی ان وجوده لا یزید علیه الخ; III. (fol. 32) في توحیده تعالی; IV. (fol. 38v.) فی ان واجب الوجود لا یقبل القسمة الی اجزاء; V. (fol. 40v.) فی ان صفاته تع عین ذاته; VI.
