Dataset of "The swine waste resistome: Spreading and transfer of antibiotic resistancegenes in Escherichia coli strains and the associated microbial communities"

This machine-readable dataset contains data about the abundance of six antibiotic-resistant genes (ARGs) and class 1 integron in 27 Escherichia coli strains from pig manure collected in three different farms in northern Italy, along with physico-chemical characterization of said manure. The three farms (which preferred to remain anonymous) had different size, location and waste management. Excreta from all pig production stages (weaning to fattening) was sampled, along with processed manure.
