The Memoranda of cases committed for trial records the date of the committal, the name of the prisoners, the nature of the offences, to what Court they are committed, whether they were admitted to Bail or not and if so then what amount and the names of sureties, the name, occupation and residence of the witnesses, and the names of Committing Magistrates and the date when the papers were sent to the Attorney General.These volumes also contain a register of applications for auctioneers’, hawkers’, coach and other licenses, a record of cases dealt with under the “first offenders’” provisions of the Crimes Act, 1900, a list of furniture and a list of the law books held at the court house.
