The present invention relates to a method for the production of polysaccharide fibers having a tendency to increase fibrillation and containing a mixture of cellulose and α(13)-glucan as a fiber-forming material. In addition， the present invention also relates to fibers produced therefrom and the use of such fibers. The invention relates to a method for producing polysaccharide fibres with an increased fibrillation tendency， said fibres containing a mixture of cellulose and α(1→3) glucan as a fibre-forming substance.
