Dangerous Harbor Project - Lancaster County - Reel 260 - Powers of Attorney, 1653-1850 - TIFFs 1-42

This dataset includes 42 TIFF files showing powers of attorney from Lancaster County in Virginia. They were created to give one person the power to make decisions on behalf of another. These documents were collected in association with the Dangerous Harbor Project which used courthouse documents to identify escaped unfree laborers in the 17th century Chesapeake and the punishments associated with their escape. <br>To learn more about this project, please go to the Dangerous Harbor Website.
