Aspergillus niger strain:L14 Genome sequencing and assembly. Aspergillus niger strain:L14

A marine sponge-derived fungus named Aspergillus niger L14 was isolated and purified from Reniera japonica MNP-2016 which was collected from the Xinghai Bay of Dalian city in China and classified by the Associate Professor Mingguang Mao at the Dalian Ocean University, China. Previous antibacterial activity indicated that strain L14 is a rich producer of terpenes, alkaloids, peptides, aromatics with a broad spectrum of biological activities. Therefore, strain L14 was a good bio-control candidate as a producer of antibacterial agent.
