Patterns of leaf trait variation underlie ecological differences among sympatric tree species of Damburneya in a tropical rainforest

This dataset is the basis of the analysis of the manuscript entitled "<strong>Patterns of leaf trait variation underlie ecological differences among sympatric tree species of </strong><em><strong>Damburneya</strong></em><strong> in a tropical rainforest" </strong>(American Journal of Botany, in press). <br> It contains information of leaf functional traits, geographic coordinates, and other relevant information of four species of <em>Damburneya </em>co-ocurring in the tropical rainforest of the "Los Tuxtlas" Biosfere Reserve, in Veracruz, Mexico. Also soil data at 10cm depth are provided. This data were generated from field collections and laboratory analyses performed at the Instituto de Ecología of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
