VPRS 9667 Annual Statistical Return of Consumers and Connected Load, etc.

The records contain tables and graphs showing numbers of consumers, types of apparatus, load and tariffs and the percentage increase or decrease for each year.The records also contain historical figures and statistics for connections from 1904 and following years up to the year date of each volume. From 1934 onwards, similar statistics may be found in VPRS 9666 Electricity Supply Department: Annual Reports.The statistics show the growth in the numbers of consumers, the growth in the numbers and types of apparatus used (e.g. 164 wireless receivers in 1930; 10,743 in 1933), the kilowatts of electricity used and the tariffs charged.These statistics may have been used to estimate demand and to assist in planning for generation and supply of electricity.These statistics were compiled by J.
