Culture-independent whole genome sequencing of Bordetella pertussis. Bordetella pertussis

This project is an effort by the Pertussis and Diphtheria Laboratory at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to study the genomic diversity of B. pertussis by direct sequencing of residual pertussis-positive clinical specimens collected in the United States. Target enrichment prior to sequencing is used to improve pathogen recovery and reduce host contamination.
