This dataset accompanies the manuscript ‘Enhanced phosphate consumption stimulated by nitrogen fixation within a cyclonic eddy in the Northwest Pacific’ by Yuan et al.This dataset consists of nutrients (nitrate plus nitrite, N + N; phosphate; silicate) and dissolved oxygen data above 500 m at 24 stations. Fieldwork was conducted onboard RV Tan Kah Kee from 15th March to 20th April 2019 (project ‘SILICON’) in the western North Pacific. The selected cyclonic eddy with a ~200 km diameter, Eddy E2, was tracked and repeatedly sampled across the zonal transect four times (transects termed E2-1, E2-2, E2-3, and E2-4, respectively).
