This dataset contains the input parameters and output hail results from the Toy-Updraft Hail Model developed by Spychalla and Kumjian (2025a). This model was used to perform three Monte Carlo simulations of hail growth in idealized updrafts: the single-pass (SP), multi-pass (MP), and exploratory (EX) simulations from Spychalla and Kumjian (2025b). These simulations were used to reveal how the single-valued parameters identified as modulating hail growth in the idealized framework individually impact the potential hail sizes produced by the toy model. Each NetCDF file contains a subset of each simulation, wherein input parameters and output hailstone results are sorted arbitrarily according to “idx”.
