资源简介:
Dataset for Masters By Research thesis consisting of muscle oxygenation, heart rate, sweat rate, skin temperature, core temperature and power during an incremental time till exhaustion test, Wingate test, a 15 min time trial test and 6 x 15s sprints in hot conditions (38°C, 30% RH) before and after heat acclimation. The aim of this study was to analyse the effects of a 3-week low-volume repeated sprint isothermal heat acclimation intervention on physiological and performance responses and determine whether 0.075 kg·kg-1 or 0.085 kg·kg-1 pedal resistance elicits greater adaptation in hot conditions. Fourteen physically active adults (male - 11; female - 3) were recruited via email and stratified into a 0.075 kg·kg-1 pedal resistance training group (age: 21 ± 2 yrs, height: 181 ± 7 cm, body mass: 78 ± 13 kg, VO2max: 50.0 ± 10.7 ml·kg·min-1) and a 0.085 kg·kg-1 pedal resistance training group (age: 21 ± 3 yrs, height: 179 ± 10 cm, body mass: 79 ± 12 kg, VO2max: 49.7 ± 12.6 ml·kg·min-1).
