This dataset complements our publication titled Tailoring Turbulence in Mechanical Heart Valve Prostheses as part of our Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) project Rethinking turbulence: ameliorating unphysiological flow in prosthetic heart valves (TAME) (No. 228871).
It contains the raw mean velocity and the Reynolds stress tensor fields (UMean and UPrime2Mean, respectively) as well as the time series data along two streamwise lines (centerline and at the y-location of the leaflet trailing edge) obtained from the quasi-steady qDNS simulations at peak systole for the Reference valve and the Prototype valve.
The field data is provided in the VTK UnstructuredGrid (*.vtu) data format whereas the time series data is provided as text files. The text files are structured in columns as: z, u, v, w. All data is given in SI units.
