Trophic structure of sub-Antarctic benthos under HABs and glacial influence

This dataset contains the mean (± SD) stable isotope values (δ¹³C and δ¹⁵N) of basal resources and consumer taxa, including their corresponding trophic groups, from four study localities in the sub-Antarctic fjords of the Magallanes region (Chile). The localities comprise two fjord systems with a historical influence of harmful algal blooms (HABs) and two proglacial fjord systems. It also includes the R script used to perform Bayesian stable isotope mixing models with the simmr package (Govan et al., 2023). The script reproduces the analyses conducted in the study, including the construction of δ¹³C–δ¹⁵N bivariate plots and the estimation of the relative contributions of basal carbon sources to the diets of consumer trophic groups.
