资源简介:

Sea-ice thickness and volume estimates for the Arctic Ocean in February and July, 2011-2023, derived from gridded 80-km resolution CryoSat-2 observations. Three different solutions for the sea-ice thickness are presented, based on three parameterizations for the sea-ice density, with all other elements of the processing chain identical. The three density parameterizations are: Alexandrov, V., Sandven, S., Wahlin, J. and Johannessen, O.M., 2010. The relation between sea ice thickness and freeboard in the Arctic. The Cryosphere, 4(3), pp.373-380. Constant sea-ice densities and their uncertainties for first-year and multi-year sea ice that do not change through the year. The NSIDC Sea Ice Age dataset https://nsidc.org/data/nsidc-0611/versions/4 is used to differentiate between ice types. Jutila, A., Hendricks, S., Ricker, R., von Albedyll, L., Krumpen, T. and Haas, C., 2021. Retrieval and parametrisation of sea-ice bulk density from airborne multi-sensor measurements. The Cryosphere, 16, 259–275, https://doi.org/10.5194/tc-16-259-2022. Sea-ice density and its uncertainty from a function depending on sea-ice freeboard. Salganik, E., Divine, D., Landy, J.C., Kauker, F., Nicolaus, M., and Stroeve, J., 2026, An Observation-Based Year-Round Parameterization of Arctic Sea-Ice Density. Submitted to Geophysical Research Letters. See acompanying publication in GRL for further details.
