Replication dataset for results reported in: A global assessment of dengue seasonality: Applying a novel, proportion-based method to case time series from 1990 to 2024

Replication dataset for results reported in: "A global assessment of dengue seasonality: Applying a novel, proportion-based method to case time series from 1990 to 2024". Subnational dengue counts data was obtained from OpenDengue (https://opendengue.org/data.html). National dengue counts data was obtained from a gap-filled version of the OpenDengue national dataset developed in a parallel analysis (Rapid global growth and intensification of dengue since 1990 | Research Square). Population raster data were obtained from the Global Human Settlement Layers database (https://human-settlement.emergency.copernicus.eu/download.php?ds=pop). Information on nested administrative levels in Brazil was obtained from publicly available resources provided by the Brazil Institute of Geography and Statistics (https://www.ibge.gov.br/en/geosciences/territorial-organization/regional-division/23708-brazilian-territorial-division.html?=&t=downloads). Dengue risk maps were obtained from the publicly available GitHub repository: https://github.com/ahyoung-lim/Arbo_riskmaps_public. Shapefiles at the second administrative level were obtained from the Global Administrative Unit Layers (GAUL) dataset, implemented by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) within the CountrySTAT and Agricultural Market Information System (AMIS) projects.
