By transcriptomics analysis, we identified that the mechanism underlying the effects of D-malate is dependent on the elevated intra-cellular acetyl-CoA content and increased Cyclin A acetylation. This finding revealed a novel mechanism, by which gut microbes impair muscle angiogenesis, and may provide therapeutic target for skeletal muscle function and other vascular associated diseases, such as cancer or aging. We uesd pig vascular endothelial cell as samples, invided them into two group: control and D-malate treatment group (n=3 for each group). After 24 h treatment, cells were collected and uesd for transcriptomic sequencing.
