Fatty acid composition and intramuscular fat phenotypes of Iberian pigs

This dataset contains the phenotypic records of 226 Iberian pigs used to investigate the relationship between the gut microbiome and meat quality traits. The dataset includes the relative fatty acid composition (%) of the longissimus thoracis intramuscular fat (IM) and subcutaneous adipose tissue (SC), including individual saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated fatty acids (e.g., C14:0, C16:0, C18:1(n-9), C18:2(n-6), C18:3(n-3), C20:3(n-3)), as well as intramuscular fat (IMF) content. Additional metadata include the animal identifier, genetic group, experimental batch, and slaughter age. These phenotypic records were used in statistical and quantitative genetic analyses integrating microbiome and host genomic information.
