De novo transcriptome assembly and analysis of gene expression in response to drought in Narcissus spp.

Narcissus spp. is an ornamental plant that is cultivated in a garden and a pot and is very popular in the world. In addition to the beauty of the flowers, the reason for interest in this plant is its aromatic aroma. It has a strong aroma and has hundreds of aromatic compounds separated from it used in the aromatic industry. Nargess flower is also considered for the medicinal properties. Genomic resources of this species are still limited. Here, we used RNA-Seq to provide the first drought stress-related transcriptome of Narcissus spp.
