Qo' and his brothers travel to Gaua

Content: Story about Qo' and his brothers. His brothers all build canoes, but Qo' builds one for himself. It turns out that his canoe is much better. His brothers trick Qo' who is trapped up in a tree and steal his canoe to go to the neighbouring island of Gaua. Qo' eventually manages to free himself and follows them in a basket floating across to the other island, where he will await his brothers standing up on the shore. They meet with the evil spirit Tumeren who hosts them in his house. As Qo' understands quickly that Tumeren wants to kill them all, he hides his brothers in different spots of the house, such as the pit oven, or the bamboo strats. Tumeren never finds them at night. Finally, Tumeren loses it and starts to fight with Qo'. Qo' can keep him at bay while he tells his brothers to flee and climb onto a nanara tree. They all climb atop, and Qo' tells the tree to grow ever taller. The tree eventually bends under they way, going over back to Vanua Lava. When all of the group have hopped off, Tunmeren is close to the tree top. The tree snaps back and catapults the evil spirit far far away.
