NRS-18746 | Register of Applications for Conditional Leases in the Land District of Wentworth [Hay Local Land Board]

These registers contain a summary record of all Conditional Leases applied for in the Land District of Wentworth, kept by the Hay Local Land Board.An application for a Conditional Lease would be submitted to the Crown Land Agent, together with a deposit. Upon receipt of such an application, the Agent would forward the information to their Local Land Board, where the details of the application would be entered into this register. The entry would be given the same register number as that appointed by the Crown Land Agent.Upon the application being approved, the details were then published in the NSW Government Gazette and provided with a new administration number; a Conditional Lease (CL) number. This number would then be added to the Register of Applications and would be used in all subsequent transactions.The register records information such as the names of the Leasees, the date of application or transfer of lease, the area applied for, a description of the area applied for, the deposit and rent amounts, and conditions ordered by the Land Board, the Conditional Purchases to which the Lease is attached, and the issue date of Certificate of Fulfilment of Conditions.
