Multi-omics Analysis Reveals Molecular Regulation of Ovarian ageing in Chickens

Ovarian ageing shortens the laying cycle in hens, consequently reducing egg production. To enhance our understanding of the mechanisms of ovarian ageing in laying hens, we employed an integrated approach encompassing RNA-seq, Ribo-seq and data-independent acquisition (DIA) proteomics analyses to identify age-associated changes in genes, ribosome footprints (RFs) and proteins in ovarian tissues of 30-week-old (W30) and 90-week-old (W90) hens.
