This dataset is a statistical table of area and volume of arbor commercial forests grouped by age class and dominant tree species from the 8th National First-Class Forest Inventory. It compiles statistics for all 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government of China, covering the total area and total volume of each dominant tree species, as well as the area and volume of young stands, middle-aged stands, near-mature stands, mature stands and over-mature stands for each corresponding category.
