User Study Results on Localized Sub-Region Search in Homogeneous Marine Collections

This dataset contains user annotations from the user study presented in the paper: "A User Study on Localized Sub-Region Search inHomogeneous Marine Collections" by Vojtěch Kloda et al. DOI: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.is.2026.102774 Each user was tasked to memorize six marine images and then provide a description of the whole scene and a description of a user-selected object in the scene. The user selected the object by drawing a rectangle on a blank canvas and later on was tasked to correct the rectangle by drawing it directly on the image. CSV column explanation: author: identifier of the user doing the annotation annotation_id: number in the range of 0-5 describing the order of annotation bucket: an identifier of the collection of images displayed to the user annotation_order: whether the user first wrote the global scene description (GF) first or the localized one (LF) bucket_order: whether the images from the bucket were displayed in order ABCDEF (STD) or in DEFABC order (SWP) frame_idx: identifier of the scene initial_rect: the rectangle drawn by the user final_rect: the corrected rectangle drawn by the user desc_global: the description of the global scene desc_object: the description of the selected object
