This project investigates the effects of salinity on bacterial community structure and dynamics during controlled indoor incubation experiments using samples collected from saline lake environments. Water, water sediment interface, and sediment samples were incubated under defined laboratory conditions to minimize environmental variability and to isolate salinity driven microbial responses.Bacterial communities were characterized using high throughput sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene. The resulting dataset provides insights into how salinity shapes bacterial community composition, diversity, and succession patterns under controlled conditions, and serves as a complementary dataset to field based observations for understanding microbial ecological processes in saline lake ecosystems.
