In English:
Multichannel and single channel seismic reflection, high resolution
seismic, sononbuoys, multibeam soundings, gravimetric and magnetic
profiles were made. The object of the investigation was an integrated
study of the margins and basins of the northern Antarctic Peninsula
and its prolongation toward the East, between the Weddell and Scotia
Seas. In this expedition, work was done in the following areas:
Transition between the active and passive Pacific margins of the
Antarctic Peninsula and southern termination of the Bransfield Rift.
The extinct ridge between the old Phoenix and Antarctic plates.
The triple junction in the Shackleton Fracture Zone and its intersection
with the ridge in the Scotia plate.
The passive margin of the Antarctic plate in the sector of the
Adelaide Island. The study of this zone covers special interests
given that the same soundings were made in February and March of
1998 as part of the ocean drilling project (ODP-Leg 175), which gave
information on the stratigraphy of the area.

Se han realizado perfiles con tecnicas de sismica de reflexion
multicanal y monocanal, sismica de alta resolucion, sonoboyas,
sondas multihaz, gravimetria y magnetometria.
El conjunto de la investigacion tiene como objetivo un estudio
integrado de los margenes y cuencas de la Peninsula Antartica
septentrional y de su prolongacion hacia el este, entre los
mares de Weddell y de Scotia. En esta campana se ha trabajado
en las siguientes areas:
Transito entre los margenes pacificos activo y pasivo de la
Peninsula Antartica y terminacion meridional del rift de
Bransfield.
Dorsal extinta entre las antiguas placas Phoenix y Antartica.
Union triple en la Zona de Fractura Shackleton y su interseccion
con la dorsal de la Placa de Scotia.
Margen pasivo de la Peninsula Antartica en el sector de la Isla
Adelaida. El estudio de esta zona reviste especial interes dado
que en la misma se han realizado durante febrero y marzo de 1998
sondeos del Ocean Drilling Proyect (ODP-Leg 175) que daran
informacion sobre la estratigrafia del area.
