Microbial community analysis during mitigation of ammonium/salt inhibition via bioaugmentation in repeated batch anaerobic digestion

The experiments of three consecutive repeated batches lasting over 80 days were conducted, with the aim of determining the effect of bioaugmentation regimes, including dosage, repetition, and timing, under ammonium or salt inhibited conditions. The changes in bacterial and archaeal communities under the ammonium or salt inhibition with and without applying different bioaugmentation regimes were monitored using 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing.
